Who does not know the name of Lakshmi Narayan Mittal ,Subhash Chandr Goel , O P Jindal and many well known personalities of India they all are Agarwaal by community.

According to Scriptures Agarwaal comunity exits from more than 1000 years.The pace of origin is Agroha which is in Haryaana.Maharaja Agrsen is our fore fore fathers , he was a great & generous ruller of Agroha , he had 18 sons who got married to 18 sisters .These 18 sons children are all Agarwaals & therefore we have 18 Gotras( Clans).The name of some of the gotras are Jindal , Mittal ,Bansal ,Kansal , Kunchal , Goel , Bindal , Garg etc.

Maharaja Agrsen has made a rule in his kingdom that every new commer in the kingdom will get money & one brick from every exsisting resident of the kingdom as a result ,the new resident use to become wealthy in one day.All the residents of Agroha were very happy & used to respect their king a lot.

Maharaja Agrsen was very generous & sympathetic person once he was performing Yagna & being a Shatri was giving sacrifice of a horse , as he was giving sacrifice the horse started speaking " that why you are offering animals to fire " Immediately Maharaja Agrsen felt very guilty he told the priest that he will no longer give sacrifice.The priest told that if he stops giving sacrifice he will have to become a Vaishya instead of Shatri.Maharaja Agrsen immediately agreed to it.

Time passed away people were living happily One day a priest came in the Kingdom & he demanded something from the King.Maharaja Agrsen refused to give him as a result he gave a sin that your Kindom will burn & turn into ashes.As soon as he told this the whole Agroha started burning & within a short most of the people died , some who survived ran away in various parts of India.

Now after so many Agroha has been established by the Agarwaal Community of India & abroad.
