Hi all, India cricket team is in New Zealand for a series with New Zealand. The tour started with 2 T20 matches. India lost both the matches and it is due to less practice matches and not able to adapt to the conditions quickly. Dhoni has experiment with his team too much for just 2 matches. Other than Yuvaraj Singh, Sehwag and Raina no other player not adopted to the conditions.

Dhoni did not allow Rohit Sharma or Ravindra Jadeja to settle down in the series. Yousuf Pathan is coming too late and he is falling under pressure. The bowling of Irfan Pathan is a question mark and even Ishant Sharma did not bowl well. New Zealand team played safely with Harbhajan Singh and attacked the seamers and part timers. I wondered why Dhoni did not use Sehwag as bowler and all the above aspects show that India is underprepared for this series of T20.

New Zealand team played very well and they have surprised the T20 World Champions. Recently New Zealand has surprised even the Australia team in the ODI series but Aussies were saved by rain and the series was tie.

Indian team will play the ODI series from March 3, 2009. I hope 50 overs version helps Indian team to comeback strongly at New Zealand team. The squad for this series is given below:

ODI Team: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Virender Sehwag (vice-captain), Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ishant Sharma, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Pragyan Ojha, Praveen Kumar, Harbhajan Singh and Dinesh Karthik.

Sachin Tendulkar presences will help the Indian team’s confidence a bit and Praveen Kumar is an asset for this team because he is good swing bowler. I hope Rohit Sharma comes to form and Ojha spin also become an asset to the team. Dinesh Karthik will not be used if the series is closely fought and if Indian team manages to win the first 3 ODI's then Karthik might get chance.
